Teach Me

I was going to introduce Mum here, as she is the driving force behind my cooking lessons, but when I said I needed to introduce her, so that people know who she is, she replied 'they know who I am, I'm your Mum' - that's put that to bed then.

Although Mum, as daft as she is, has taken the role of teaching me to cook she's not on hand all the time. So, in order to become a master chef I have had to resort to some lessons from the professionals.

I'm not going off to any fancy cooking classes or turning into a Saturday Kitchen fanatic instead I'm using the resource (at my finger tips as I type) by looking at videos to enhance my culinary skills.

And as thoughtful as I am I thought it would be a good idea to share my videos with you... below I will update as I go and see how we get on.

Lesson One - Chopping an onion

I can't think of a better place to start... I've had a lot of trouble with onions and I think this could sort me out.
